How quickly has January gone? The first month of Sky Blanket 2016 is done and what varied skies we’ve seen. If you’re unfamiliar with this year long crochet, knitting or quilting project, you can read more about Sky Blanket 2016 here.We have had quite a few grey and rainy days at the beginning of the month but we did have 4 days blue skies with just above freezing temperatures and frost midway. Then the weather changed which resulted in some stunning sunsets and sunrises.
I hoping we will get snow at some point as I have white yarn with silver thread running through it, of which I’m itching to use.I’ve gone with treble crochet for January, I’m looking at doing a different stitch each month to make it more visually interesting and to extend my stitch repertoire.
