I am an avid colouring book fan.So when Parragon books asked if I was interested in reviewing Happy from their new Moodles range, as part of Parragon Book buddy program, I immediately said yes.
Did you know that Moddles are doodles with the power to change your mood? Moodles are a great way to express your happiness. This illustrated collection of ideas to draw will enhance your mood wherever you lie on the happiness spectrum.
Each page is different, asking you to either to draw, colour, cut, fold or write your way to happiness. As there isn’t an ongoing theme like most colouring books, you won’t get bored or feel guilty skipping pages.I found this book was a great way to start and end my day with a little mindful exercise, letting your mind wander and unwind.
I use colouring pencils as the base colour, water colour pencils are great for a wishy-washy background. Then colour fine liners are great for outline and detail. For a touch of sparkle I use gel pens, which also add a little depth to your work.
Colouring, is to me an art form. There are many techniques to create shadow and depth, as well as many mediums to create your very own unique masterpiece.I don’t think the colouring book craze will be over for awhile, new editions are hitting the shops quicker than fans can sharpen their pencils.
Moodles colouring books are the perfect size to pop into your handbag, briefcase or satchel, so you can Moodle anywhere.Once you’ve finished your Moodles Happy masterpiece, why not use washi tape to decorate around your work space, your boss’s office or send them to someone to brighten their day?
