Hello hello! It is lovely to be back from over at Red Ted Art to share some lovely DIY ideas with you! As Christmas is rapidly approaching (it will be here before you know it), we thought it would be useful to share some DIY Gift Box ideas with you today! A homemade gift box can really add certain something to your gift and they would go perfectly with some DIY Christmas Gifts Kids Can Make. Or maybe your gift is an awkward shape or really small and you need the perfect box to give it in?
One of our simplest and favourite gift boxes, is this paper origami box. Don’t let the word “origami”, frighten you off. Learning to fold paper, is quicker and easier than you think (we have a stack easy origami for beginners ideas to get you going). This pattern is quick and easy to learn and it will have you making boxes everywhere and any time!
If you have cat lovers in the house, we have two different times of CAT GIFT BOXES.. first up we have the adorable Cat Origami stacking boxes! Yes, more origami, but these are so cute, you just have to see them.
similarly, we have these ingenius TP Roll Cats! Yes, turn the humble TP roll into a super sweet and simple TP Roll Cats. Lovely.
If cutting and sticking is more you thing, we have some lovely and super simple heart box printable for you. Print, stick and decorate to your heart’s content!
Here is something different – have you seen these DIY Cookie Jars? They are of course super simple and easy (aren’t all our crafts easy!) and are sooooo fun to make. Are super easy and look great. They are fabulous for a “Cookie in a Jar” gift set, but you can also use them to gift some Shopkins Toys or other trinkets.
The kids made these bight and colourful gift boxes as part of a fundraising day at school. Don’t they look fabulous. Can you guess what they have been made from?
Not strictly speaking a box but these milk carton baskets are a great way to present gifts too!
I know we mentioned the TP Roll cats above, but did you know you that if you staple a TP roll in opposite directions at each end, you can these fabulous “pyramid” TP Roll boxes. Decorate with stickers and done. Alternatively, you can paint or wrap the TP roll in paper , squish down the sides for this Pill Box look.
Here is also a super clever little paper plate “gift box”. Great for presenting some homemade cookies!
