Thursday 2nd Of June
Thursday we went for a walk along the river before doing our weekly shop.We spotted these growing conkers on a large Horse chestnut tree where we forage wild garlic every year.
Friday 3rd June
We hung out at home and spent our 30 minutes for 30 Days Wild checking out the slow worms that live in our back garden. They move around the garden once the sun has warmed up their bodies. These ones live under a couple of old shower curtains, others are to be found under old plastic bins or the weed suppressant membrane under our veg patch.
Day 3 of #30DaysWild looking around my garden before I get the washing in, I check on sloworms that live under an old shower curtain and log. What did you discover today? Check out my blog to get involved and get yourself out there! #staywild #wildlifetrusts #slowworms #springwatch #wiltshirewildlife #epig
Saturday 4th June
A lazy day but I went out to a local country lane, where you have to walk through the woods where it’s an earthy smells.Upon reaching the lane, the smell from the cow parsley was intoxicating.
Sunday 5th June
We went off to my mum’s for a family barbecue, which meant plenty time in her small but gorgeous garden. We had a look at new plants that are finally growing and her little pond that a few frogs dip into.
Monday 6th June
After seeing a photo of red poppies on Instagram under the #igerswiltshire a few weeks ago, I thought it would be a perfect 30 Days Wild walk.It was a breath-taking view, so pretty and uplifting.I’m definitely going back to collect seeds.
Tuesday 7th of June
This was a bit of a surprise when we saw this mass web on a bush in someone’s garden. It took a few minutes to see the tiny empty caterpillar cocoons. I presume they are a type of moth.
Wednesday 8th June
Today I was up early to collect the seeds from my beloved granny bonnets that fill mostly my front garden.I also picked the bright orange Iceland Poppies and Foxgloves that I have grown from seed. The bees are loving the Foxgloves, flitting in and out of each bloom.
It’s not too late to sign up for 30 Days Wild. You don’t have to blog, just share your photos on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using #30DaysWild to share your photos and videos.
