30 Days Wild- Day 24-30: Dog Roses And Moss
Friday 24th, Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th, Monday 27th June
This weekend was Britmums blogging conference in London, so I didn’t do anything for 30 Days Wild for a few days. I was packing Friday, away Saturday, then come back Sunday.Monday was spent catching up with washing and unpacking from the weekend.
Tuesday 28th June
I was in much need of a long walk after the long build up to the weekend.I hadn’t been up to Bird’s Marsh fields in a long while, so much had changed in just a few weeks. The hedgerows were full of dog roses more than I had seen for a few years. It looks like I’ll be foraging for hips this year to make tea and syrup with.
Wednesday 29th June
After yesterday’s walk around Birds Marsh fields, I headed back again but this time to venture more into the woods themselves. One of my favourite nature smalls is the smell of moss when you step on it.There’s nothing like the smell of rich patchouli smelling earth.
Thursday 30th June
This morning I went round my dad’s for a coffee and chat.He has a 3/4 acre garden, full of plants, flowers and garden features.A newly planted area full to the brim with daisies had a rogue pinky purple poppy settled in amongst them.
That’s the end of 30 Days Wild for this year.Has inspired you to get out 30 minutes, for 30 days? So, what’s next? How about keeping up the challenge with #staywild.Share your daily interactions with nature on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with your Stay Wild photos.
