I haven’t done a Right Here, Right Now for a couple of months.I thought I’d do one for the last time this year. How weird does that sound? It’s not far off to being 2015.A lot has happened in the last year, the biggest being the move from our home of 12 years, a flat, to a house. We’ve now been here 8 months. To coincide with the house move, I gave up PLUS 2.4, my blog of 5 and 1/2 years.I started Bug, Bird And Bee in June and it’s been a bit scary starting again but it just seemed the natural thing to do.
Currently I am: catching up with blog stuff.Reviews, guest posts I owe people and posting ones given to me.I’m feeling a bit of a fail as I haven’t posted any Christmas food posts or any more crafts as I had planned.I have nearly 100 half written posts in drafts going back to when I first started writing on this new blog.I’m rubbish at concentrating and staying off social media when I need to get things done.
Reading: A backlog of craft magazines, going back two maybe three years.I MUST stop buying them! I haven’t read any books at all for weeks.Which is really bad as I keep buying them when in charity shops.I need to get back to reading in the evenings before I go to bed.
Swooning over: Well Benedict is now engaged, it didn’t stop me from buying a Benedict Cumberbatch calender.I have no idea why, honestly?! And I ‘may’ have found episodes of Fortysomething on YouTube.Double swoon at Hugh Laurie.
Planning: Er, Christmas.I’ve started making Christmas cards, bought a few snacky things, I’m a 1/3 of the way through a crochet blanket for a family member and I’ve booked a grocery online shop for the 21st.I have yet to buy the meat, plan veggie meals, make Christmas puddings in the slow cooker, make mince pies and other nibbles, make oodles of hamper goodies for family, put up the tree, make new decs (we add to the ones we have), keep the house tidy, blah blah.

The slow cooker is being used lots and lots.I’m making double of everything to freeze half to put in the freezer.I’ve only had one mince-pie so far, no mulled wine or anything.I’ve taken up Cass’s batch cooking idea and Michelle has inspired me to lose weight after Christmas with her diet chef review.
My auntie passed away last month after suffering with cancer for 9 years. She was in a hospice for the last 35 days of her life and was cremated two weeks later.Last Saturday was the first family gathering since her funeral.I felt like I kept putting my foot in it talking to my uncle. The first thing I asked him was, “How are you?” I’m such an Idiot.
YouTube. And I don’t mean just watching loads of videos but learning how to make a better channel, making playlists and editing.I have lots more to learn and as an incentive to get myself vlogging next year, me and some other bloggers have started a Friday chat show via Google+ called Friday At 11.
Films I’ve Watched:
For some weeks now I have been hiring 3 videos out from the library. It only costs £2.90 for a week, as long as I take them back on time.Between us 4, we choose a family, an oldie (usually a Shakespeare adaptation or a TV series) and then a horror for me and Kip.They are 12 or 15 certificate, scary/spooky not gorey.
Much Ado About Nothing- Joss Whedon’s version
Serenity- Film spin-off from Firefly sci-fi series (Joss Whedon)
The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty
The Haunting In Connecticut
Guardians of the Galaxy
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (i didn’t watch to the end).
A Room With A View
Hats. The one thing I love about the weather when it turns cold is that it’s totally legit to wear a hat and not worry about bad hair days, of which I have many.Oh and big thick socks and jumpers during the day to avoid putting the heating on.
As I said, I’m making a crochet blanket for a family member for Christmas.I haven’t picked up a crochet hook for two years.Lots of incentives to try again, firstly I wanted something handmade for someone.Secondly, whilst my auntie was in the hospice, all the patients beds had a crocheted or knitted blanket on their beds. They were mostly made from rectangles of what looked like wool that needed using up.No specific pattern and mismatched colours.Once I have finished my 6″ x 4″ blanket, I’ll be making a few smaller ones to send to the hospice.
